COMMISSIONING OF NESTOIL'S INDUSTRIAL AREA AND MV ENESTO 1
"Nestoil is a truly indigenous Nigerian Company, and we are proudly Nigerian, even in our quest for global Energy!”. These were the closing words of the welcome address delivered by Sir Ernest Azudialu-Obiejesi to a huge but dignified crowd of finance and business heavy weights, Oil and Gas industry moguls, Stock brokers, traditional rulers,
and the Vice President of the Federal Government of Nigeria, Sir (Dr.) Goodluck Jonathan (GCON) who was represented by the Minister for Special Duties, Mr. Godsday Orubebe at the recent commissioning of Nestoil’s 59acres Industrial Area in Port Harcourt on 25th of July 2008.
During the commissioning which was equally graced by the likes of the former chairman of Nigeria Economic Summit Group, Prof. Anya O. Anya, Sir Ernest Azudialu recalled that “Nestoil, (has been) driven by the belief, that with proper encouragement from policy makers, support from Bankers, and access to contracts provided by major industry players like NNPC, Shell, Mobil, Chevron, etc, the sky is the limit.” Nestoil he recalled has over the years transcended boundaries imposed on small operators and gained the confidence of the (Oil and Gas) industry, boldly meeting the great responsibilities inherent in the opportunities offered. The Company has been unrelenting in expanding its borders and has continued to deliver world class Engineering, Procurement and Construction solutions to the challenges of the Oil and Gas Industry. Nestoil has kept faith with its operating philosophy, to “Deliver Results, and Not Reasons”
The President of Nestoil Group, also in his speech, thanked the Presidency under the leadership of Umaru Musa Yar’Adua (GCFR), for a job well done in “fast-tracking the wheel of the Local Content Initiative for which the patriotic zeal of several indigenous business men in the industry, has been ignited.
While commissioning the latest and most sophisticated dredger in Africa, MV Enesto 1, the Vice President passed a vote of confidence on the operators of Nestoil Group, and urged others to emulate this good example and work more closely with government in job generation, community empowerment and development.
